Match report The 2nd team continued their good form with a 3 wicket win over Purley at Turgis Green. Once the rain cleared, Turgis bowled first and, yet again, made early inroads. At one point Purley were 56 for 5; however, some good middle order hitting got them back on track and a final total of 175 looked challenging. Wickets were shared around - 2 each for Laurie, Craig, Ravi and Sridhar. After Laurie's excellent tea (individually wrapped rolls!), Turgis started the chase. Not for the first time, the innings revolved around Ravi who made an excellent 57. After a wobble, Turgis found themselves struggling on 156 for 7; however, Sridhar remained very cool under pressure and got us home. Up to the top half of the table. Great stuff again from the 2s!
