Match report With only 10 players, Stratfield lost the toss and were asked to bat on an interesting looking pitch. The ball immediately started going through the surface and produced high unpredictable bounce. Rogers Senior, Jason and Tom all came and went quickly and with the score on 24 for 3 (effectively 24 for 4), Kennedy joined Walton at the wicket. A patient and determined approach by both produced a much needed 110 run partnership. Walton was caught out for 69 trying to increase the run rate but Kennedy remained at the crease and was eventually out for a well deserved 59. some late blows saw the innings close on very strong 190. In Reply 2 quick wickets put Stratfield in control before a 52 run partnership put Knowl Hill in a strong position. However the 3rd wicket put Stratfield back in control and some wickets either side of the drinks break combined with good spells of spin bowling from Geddes and Ormston reduced Knowl Hill to 86 for 5. With the run rate increasing Knowl Hill were still going for it but were unable to keep up with the rate due to disciplined bowling from Robberts and Figzal, they ended 23 runs short of the Stratfield total.
