Match report The first round of the Guy Jewel Cup turned out to be the last round too! Up against Hook B, a very strong outfit, Turgis always struggled. In a reduced overs game due to inclement weather, 89 runs were accrued. At one wkt down, opener Mark Walton returned to the hutch stating. 'The one piece of kit I forgot to take out to bat were ..... my glasses!!
So Turgis now enter the Guy Jewel Plate competition, a bit like the Europa League really for teams that lose in round 1.
