Match report Hockey Club started well going at 10 an over for the first 5 overs but once the Stratfield bowlers and fielders settled and the first wicket fell, so did the run rate. Regular wickets through the middle overs continued to see the run rate fall and despite a few late lusty blows a total of 130 in 16 overs looked very achievable. Steve Brown 3-0-24-3 and Andre Robberts 4-0-25-2 the pick of the bowlers

However, no-one realised just how easily the target would be reached with the opening pair of Tony Butcher 62no off 48 balls and Jason Ormston 65no off only 33 balls, playing some stylish and some brutal but equally effective stokes seeing Stratfield home off just 13.3 overs.
