Match report Turgis 2nds lost to a strong Sandhurst team on a sweltering Saturday. Fielding first, Turgis took wickets at regular intervals and did well to restrict the high flying home team to 160 for 9. Sridhar was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 27. There was also a memorable catch for skipper, Martin Turvey, somehow clinging on to one smashed to him in the covers. In reply, Turgis got off to a decent start - there were scores in the 20s for Lakshman, Sankar and Marc Minkin. Unfortunately things went a bit wrong after that and the innings ended on 111. An enjoyable game played in good spirit to mark the half way point in the season. Let's hope for more of the same in the second half.
