Match report Stratfield Turgis 2s got their promotion bid back on track with a thumping win over Hawley 2s in Division 5. Stratfield had batted first in their previous 3 games and had failed to score over 100 each time. They were therefore relieved to win the toss and put their rivals from Surrey into bat. It proved to be the right decision in what turned out to be a memorable day for opening bowler Craig Strudley. The in-form seamer claimed all the wickets to fall, ending with figures of 9 for 21. Strudley was denied a chance of the magical 10 because Hawley could only field 10 players but his figures were still good enough to beat a divisional record that had stood since 1982. Hawley were shot out for just 61 and Stratfield cruised to victory without losing a wicket. Ed Dingwall and Will du Plessis (35 not out), playing in his last game before returning to South Africa, piled on the misery for Hawley.
