Match report Stratfield Turgis 2nd XI recorded an easy win over Division 5 strugglers Newbury thanks to star contributions from 2 members of the Hampshire Disability Squad. Firstly, opener Will du Plessis shone with the bat, making 74 out of Stratfield's total of 209 for 8. The South African gave a couple of chances early on but soon found his stride to leave Newbury facing a tough target. Their resistance was ended early on with du Plessis's Hampshire team mate, Jamie Legg, taking 4 wickets in 4 balls to leave the home side reeling on 18 for 6. The spinner lured his first victim down the track to be stumped before claiming an LBW the next ball. The hat trick was completed with a fine catch close in from du Plessis before Dave Jones put the icing on the cake with another great catch to make it 4 from 4. Newbury never recovered and were shot out for just 55. To cap a memorable day, du Plessis took the last 3 wickets for just 7 runs.
