Match report A superb opening stand of 205 between Danny Spence and John Synodinos gave the 1st XI victory against West Reading. After losing the toss, Turgis were asked to bowl and were soon chasing the ball around the large and fast outfield at Reading University. Despite an opening stand of 113, the team stuck at it and fought their way back into the game. Excellent bowling by Vignesh (4 for 32) and John Synodinos (6 for 55) pegged WR back to 240. John and Danny then took over with the bat. Both openers recorded well deserved tons. John's second century of the season completed a fantastic personal performance; however, it was possibly the spirit and commitment in the field that was most pleasing.
