Match report After being put in to bat Ian Rogers and Mark Walton raced to 57 before Rogers was trapped LBW for 10. Enter Martin Dyson who blasted 99 off 68 balls in a partnership of 177 with Walton, off only 19.2 overs. Dyson was unlucky to be run out by a direct throw from 40 yards trying to complete a 2nd run which would have been a well deserved century (a dubious leg bye awarded by Mr T may also have cost Dyson his ton). Walton completed his first century for Stratfield with a 6 over mid-on but was out shortly afterwards. With 251 on the board of just 30 overs, a sporting declaration was made leaving 60 overs to get the wickets required. Waltham got off to quick start but despite lots of arial shots not going to fielders, Statfield broke the first 2 partnerships which were the only major ones of the Waltham innings. Wickets then fell quickly with Tom Millward picking up 4-40 off 10 overs which makes up for him dropping a dolly off the Waltham skipper who scored 84no from his 9 lives.
